I remember the first varsity letter I ever won was for playing tennis on the Algonac High School Tennis Team. Well, actually, I was on the tennis team and played enough to be given a letter.
My favorite tennis racquet at that time was the Wilson T2000 with oil-filled nylon strings. It was the coolest technology ever! So cool, it was the only racquet Jimmy Connors would use in tournaments.
Like so many other things from those days, I couldn’t afford to buy one unless I found another job to pay for it. Which is why I drew it. Just amazing, the feeling I got from finally owning one that I’d bought on eBay.
I drew the racquets I wanted as a teen. But I never played tennis seriously again.
