1970s Vintage Paddle Ball "It's Fun" | Original Pop-Realism Drawing by Mike Pitzer

This mixed media artwork by Pop-Realism artist Mike Pitzer, is a nostalgic trip back to childhood. The artist's memories of simpler times, filled with imagination and inexpensive toys like Paddle Ball, come to life in this vibrant piece. The hash marks in the background evoke the endless hours spent playing this classic children's game.

Created with acrylic, graphite, and colored pencil on a wood panel, the piece has a unique, slightly raw feel, a departure from the pristine surface of paper. This adds to its charm and authenticity, grounding it in the reality of childhood creativity born of necessity. The artist's style blends illustration, pop art, and realism, resulting in a captivating still life that is both familiar and fresh.
