Vintage PONY BOY Cap Gun
This is my graphite and colored pencil, pop-realism drawing of my PONY BOY cap gun. I had two; the other was a Hubley. From the time I was 6 until I was about 8, we’d play Cowboys and Indians in our neighborhood. That was up until my Dad took away both because a bunch of us kids discovered that we could take a roll of caps and smash ‘em with a hammer on the cement, and it would sound like an M80 going off! In doing so, we cracked the cement sidewalk. None of the Dads seemed happy about that so bye-bye, cap guns.
